About The Event
The first panel will discuss perspectives from the Nuremberg and Tokyo Tribunals, the Special Court for Sierra Leone, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. The panel will discuss some of the key developments in relation to the core international crimes and the legacy which has been left for international criminal law.
The second panel will discuss perspectives from the International Criminal Court, the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals. The panel will focus on current developments relating to core crimes at the international courts and tribunals.
The third panel will discuss perspectives from the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria, the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecutor’s Office and the International Criminal Court. The panel will look at the potential future developments which could occur in relation to the core international crimes.
