About The Event

This full-day training (10.45-16.30) will be conducted by Colleen Rohan, Vice President of the ADC-ICT, who has a wealth of experience practising before the international courts and tribunals.

This training will focus on special defences in international criminal law including; superior orders, alibi, mental capacity (insanity, intoxication, diminished responsibility), mistake, and duress and necessity. A general introduction will be given followed by an in depth analysis of the law and jurisprudence from the international courts and tribunals. The training is open to all levels of experience and there is no requirement to have previous knowledge of the subject.
